Thorlabs公司提供一端带一个镀增透膜的FC/PC或FC/APC接头,另一端带一个未镀膜FC/PC或FC/APC接头的光纤跳线。增透膜旨在减少从光纤到自由空间发射光束或将自由空间光束耦合到光纤中时的反射比。根据不同的跳线,镀膜接头的平均反射率在增透膜频率范围内小于0.75%或小于0.5%(点击下面增透膜涂层反射率图查看更多信息)。每根跳线都有Ø3毫米Kevlar增强型分叉管(FT030-Y)。
光纤对自由空间的耦合
当光从光纤入射到自由空间时,例如当使用我们的光纤准直器和FiberPort准直器/耦合器时,回波损耗(在光纤末端的玻璃-空气界面上背向反射回光源的信号损失)将会比同等光纤对光纤的耦合方式更加严重。通过光纤端面镀上增透膜,FC/PC接头上的回波损耗可以减少~8到10分贝,而FC/APC接头上的回波损耗则可以减小~2到5分贝。例如,在测试中,对于一根未镀膜接头的跳线,其典型回波损耗为~15分贝(3.16%),而有增透膜接头的相同跳线,其回波损耗为~24分贝(0.40%)。增透膜接头还可以改善将自由空间光束耦合到光纤中时的透射率。更多测试数据,请查看实验验证标签。
注意:增透膜涂层的末端只适用于自由空间应用(例如准直),如果它碰触另一个接口,它将会被损坏。与未镀膜的两个接口连接相比,两个增透膜接口连接会增大背反射,由此造成更大的透射损耗。
